Special Delivery

(L-R Camden, Jenn, Madison, Patty Robinson, Becky Garrett)
In early September we made our October donation of cases due to the face that Jenn, Maddie's mom, had just had a baby and wanted to be sure that U. C. Davis Cancer center got their monthly delivery should she be consumed with baby duties.
This was a special delivery. We had made an appointment so Madison could meet Patty Robinson who is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Cancer center. Patty was so wonderful, she asked Madison about her motivations for this project, and allowed Madison to tell her all about how she makes the case. Maddie was so proud.
While there, we were shown around a bit by Becky, daughter of Aunt Willie, who would accompany her to her many treatments. It is very eye opening. We all here of the battle one wages against cancer, and we can even see the physical effects of this ravaging disease on our loved ones and friends. To see though, the many people who are bravely fighting the fight, with such determination, with such strength is humbling to the rest of us.
We are so blessed by our health, we need to never be complacent about it. We need to be vigilant to maintain our health, be ready to fight the fight should it come to our doorstep, and to help others fight theirs. Whether we help by donating to research, donating to causes such as Cases for Cheer, or just the simple act of being there for someone who is fighting the fight, we all need to get involved! Please pass on our site, and help us help others by getting the word out about our project. Thank you!
